Fuzzy Squash is grown to be eaten as a vegetable in warm climates. The fruit resembles a large, hairy cucumber or zucchini. It is, in fact, not a squash but rather a gourd, and related to winter melon. The skin has little white hairs when young, the skin is edible but is pealed most of the time. It can be eaten raw into salads or pastas. Mostly used cooked into different dishes in Asian cuisine.
